Commercial Airliner Crash - MCI Drill
Millstone, NJ The Millstone Fire Department and the Millstone Firs Aid Squad was dispatched to the scene of a reported plane crash in a field behind the Middle School in Millstone Township. When Chief Carbin was on location he confirmed that a crash had taken place and quickly observed multiple victims scattered around the fuselage and neighboring fields. He quickly requested assistance from the neighboring mutual aid companies. EMS agencies quickly arrived and with fire fighters started to triage the victims. The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office had Field Comm 1 in place for the Unified Command represented with Chief Carbin, Fire, and Captain Hoffman, EMS.
The Emergency Service Response included 10 First Aid Squads, 10 Fire Departments and Helos from the NJSP (South Star) and MONOC (MONOC 1). There were 86 victims evaluated by the Emergency Service Responders.
